A guide to the UNESCO World Heritage village of New Lanark in Scotland, the Falls of Clyde nature reserve, and the nearby historic town of Lanark. Lanark was founded in 1180 and was the birthplace of William Wallace, who was played by Mel Gibson in the film Braveheart.
